Miklós Soltész was born in 1963 in Budapest, and originally qualified as an engineer. He used to work as a mayor, was a member of Budapest city council, and has been a member of the Hungarian Parliament since 2002. He is Vice-President of the Christian Democratic People’s Party. From 2010 to 2014 he was State Secretary for Social Affairs, and since 2014 he has been working as State Secretary for Church and Nationality Minority Relations. He is married, father of four children and in his spare time he likes doing sports.
